‘Piece of the Action’ was inspired by an I Heart Songwriting Club theme given to me one week of ‘action movie’. It was really fun to play around with! I created a song story with feminine attitude (something I write about a LOT, yass my Queens!!) but it’s also tongue-in-cheek and doesn’t take itself too seriously.  I hope that this sense of fun shines through for you in the listening, there’s plenty of film-related metaphors all wrapped up in a devil-may-care invitation to take a risk. The excitement of an action film drives the thrill of a brand-new, sexy romance, ready to burst into flames if you’re brave enough to take this girl on. You’re probably gonna get burned, but what a ride if you dare to take a chance!

You might feel like your life isn’t anything out of the ordinary in the everyday, but I hope this song empowers and reminds you to appreciate that you really ARE an action hero in so many ways (and for more people than you probably know) in your everyday.
